Get to know Isabelle!
I was born in 2006 and come from a small town in Norrbotten called Kalix. I am entering my fourth and final year at the cross-country ski high school in Gällivare. So a large part of my life is about cross-country skiing. It is really something I am passionate about. Challenging yourself, being out in nature, traveling and so on within the sport is the best thing I know. Especially when I have my family and many friends who are passionate about it too.
Something else that takes up a large part of my life is my illness. I have type 1 diabetes. Playing sports at an elite level and having type 1 diabetes is not something everyone thinks is possible. I have had type 1 diabetes since I was 4 years old. I would equate it to an internal roller coaster. Constantly, 24 hours a day, even when I sleep, keeping an eye on my blood sugar levels to make sure they don't get too low or too high. My blood sugar can drop or rise wildly without you even doing anything. That's why it can be very tough as an elite athlete to have type 1 diabetes, but at the same time it's an advantage because I can make sure my blood sugar stays stable.
As a result of my illness, I also became gluten intolerant. So you could say I killed two birds with one stone. Jokes aside, this has never stopped me from doing what I love, even though it has been and is very difficult at times. I kind of want to prove to myself that I can do it despite my illness.
I like Fibr because:
I like Fiber because it works for everything and everyone! For me who has gluten, it's perfect, as all the bars are gluten-free. Also perfect for me who has diabetes, to be able to have stable blood sugar during exercise or just during everyday life. Plus, they're really tasty too!
