Marta's Gourmet Bread is a coarser bread with a texture that gets its juicy flavor from apple, apple cider vinegar and rosehip. Reminiscent in character of Danish rye bread. The bread is baked with bicarbonate instead of yeast just like you do in a sourdough loaf.
Why do sunflower seeds in bread turn green?
Sunflower seeds contain chlorophyll. It is a pigment that changes color to green when exposed to bicarbonate and high temperature. It is completely harmless!
